A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating perpetual calendar chronograph keyless lever watch with moon phases, circa 1880. Retailed by Brüder Klumak, Wien. Nickel finished highly jeweled lever movement, minute repeating by two polished steel hammers on two gongs, glazed dust cover. Gold cuvette engraved: Brüder Klumak, Wien 1, Rothenthurmstrasse 15, Chronometer-Macher der K.K. Kriegsmarine, seuls representants pour l’Autriche, Hongrie de la maison Ch. F. Tissot & Fils, Fabricants d’Horlogerie de Précision au Locle (Suisse). White enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions, gold pear hands, four subsidiary dials for month and leap year indicator, day, date and phases of the moon combined with lunar calendar and constant seconds. Heavy engine turned case, the front centered by monogrammed initials ‘CL’, repeating slide and chronograph button in the band. Case, cuvette and dial signed by retailer.
