A rare and unusual English 18 carat gold keywound open faced pocket chronometer watch with chain fusée, date and one minute tourbillon, circa 1875. 3/4 Plate nickel finished movement, chain fusée with Harrison’s maintaining power, polished steel one minute tourbillon carriage with curved arms, spring detent escapement, bimetallic compensation balance, freesprung regulator. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, two subsidiary dials indicating date and constant seconds. Engine turned case. Case numbered, dial and movement signed.
