Split seconds chronogrpah with flying ¼ths of a second by Audemars Piguet

A fine and unusual Swiss 18 carat rose gold two train open faced split seconds chronograph keyless lever watch with flying ¼ths of a second, circa 1892., manufactured in 1892.
Nickel finished fully jewelled two train lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, cam wheel regulator, glazed dust cover. American rose gold cuvette engraved Jules H. Burwell from his St. Paul Friends September 1892. White enamel dial with offset Roman numerals, outer enlarged minute divisions, blued steel spade hands, two subsidiary dials for 30 minutes register and flying 1/4th of a second. Plain American case, engraved initials ‘JHB’ to the hinged back, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through a button in the band and through the crown. Case and cuvette numbered, movement signed and numbered.
