Hunting cased minute repeating chronograph by Louis Mugnier

A fine Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating chronograph watch, circa 1890. Mechanical movement, 30 jewels. Silvered and engraved dial, centred by applied gold floral decoration, Roman numerals interspersed by engraved scroll decoration, blued steel spade hands, engine turned subsidiary seconds, outer fifths of a second and Arabic five minute divisions. Gold cuvette engraved with technical information, signature and the words Depôt Naples, 15 Place Municipio. Hinged case with chased and engraved floral and scroll decoration to the front and back, the front with a cartouche bearing the engraved initials RVB, the inside of the front cover is engraved Estote Ergo Prudentes Sicut Serpentes, Et Simplices Sicut Columbae, repeating slide and chronograph button in the band. Case numbered, cuvette numbered and signed, dial signed.
