A rare and unusual Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased keyless lever chronograph watch with perpetual calendar, moon phases and retrograde date, circa 1890. Gilt finished highly jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, glazed dust cover. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer railway five minute divisions, arch shaped retrograde date indication, two apertures for day and moon phases, two subsidiary dials for constant seconds and month. Entirely engine turned floral and geometrical decorated case. Case numbered.
