Rose gold open faced repeating keyless lever by Breguet

A fine, rare and attractive Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced quarter repeating keyless lever watch, circa 1894. Comes with original box. Sold to Madame Combuzat-Roy on 22 December 1894 for the sum of 1000 Francs. Gilt finished lever movement, 32 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, quarter repeating on two hammers onto two gongs. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel Breguet hands and subsidiary seconds. Engine turned case, small initials CA to the upper left corner of the back, repeating slide in the band. Dial and cuvette signed and numbered.
