A very fine Swiss 18 Carat rose gold open faced vari coloured Louis XV style keyless cylinder watch with detachable matching chatelaine, circa 1880. Keyless jewelled cylinder movement. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals. Rose gold case with chased and applied yellow and white gold foliate decoration, the reverse centred by a vari coloured gold pastoral scene of a dog kicking over a basket of flowers trying to reach for a pair of doves on a floral wreath hanging above, together with a matching vari coloured gold chatelaine with a similar scene. Case and cuvette numbered.
