An early, rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel hunting cased cylinder pocket watch, circa 1852. Gilt finished jewelled cylinder movement, mono-metallic balance. Inscribed gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals. Engine turned case, polychrome portrait of two sisters in a landscape to the front, the back cover with basket weave design center surrounded by blue and white barley flowers, coin edged band. Cuvette signed and numbered, case numbered.
