A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced minute repeating split seconds chronograph keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1890. Nickel finished 3/4 plate jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two hammers on to two gongs, repeat activated through a slide in the band. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer calibrated black fifth seconds ring, red Arabic five minute divisions and blued steel hands. Polished case, split chronograph operated through a button in the band and the crown, chronograph locking lever in the band. Dial signed, case, cuvette and movement numbered.
