An English gilt pair cased keywound verge watch, circa 1780-1799. Gilt finished full plate verge movement, chain fusée, pierced and engraved balance cock, three armed balance, stylized pilasters. Silver dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute divisions and gilt hands. Polished inner case, repoussé outer, reposed female in a landscape with scroll motif, bezel with scroll motif. Dial and movement signed, case stamped FS.
