Gold repeating split seconds chronograph by Meylan

A fine Swiss 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating keyless lever split seconds chronograph watch perpetual calendar, circa 1890. Nickel finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two hammers onto a gong, activated through a slide in the band. Inscribed gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, four subsidiary dials for month combined with leap year indication, day and date, constant seconds combined with phases of the moon and lunar calendar, outer calibrated fifth seconds ring with red Arabic fifth divisions, blued steel spade hands. Polished case,  split seconds chronograph operated through a button in the band and the crown, chronograph locking mechanism in the band. Movement signed, case, cuvette and movement numbered.
