A rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced quarter repeating keyless lever watch with Jacquemarts made for the Turkish market, circa 1890. Keyless jewelled lever movement, glazed dust cover. quarter repeating on two hammers onto two gongs. Gold cuvette. Chased gilt floral and scroll decorated silvered dial with Turkish numerals and subsidiary seconds, two applied gilt putti Jacquemarts striking the bells in unison with the repeating. Plain case, two blank cartouches to the central scroll motif, repeating slide in the band. Case and cuvette numbered.
