A fine English gilt, enamel and paste set pair cased open faced hour and quarter striking centre seconds keywound verge coach watch, circa 1800. Keywound two train verge movement, chain fusée, en passant hour and quarter hour striking on two hammers onto a bell, lock lever for striking and stop seconds under the dial, gilt dust cover. White enamel dial with Roman numerals. Inner case with pierced and engraved scroll decorated band, floral engraved back, gilt pendant, fluted bow, large outer case with pierced and engraved scroll decorated band, paste set bezel, polychrome enamel classical scene within a paste set ring to the reverse. Dust cover and movement signed and numbered.
