A fine English gilt, enamel and pearl set open faced keywound duplex watch with centre seconds made for the Chinese market, circa 1820. Partially chased and engraved gilt finished duplex movement. Gilt cuvette. Off-white enamel dial with Roman numerals and centre seconds. Large case, split pearl set bezels, pendant and bow, milled band, the hinged case back with a painted polychrome enamel portrait of a lady in a feathered bonnet against translucent red enamel on engine turned ground. Movement signed, case and cuvette numbered and stamped RD.
