A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased, keyless pocket watch made for the South American market, circa 1890. Accompanied by the original Huguenin mahogany fitted box and spare silver and gold dial. Engine-turned covers with polished borders, front centered with blank cartouche, reeded band and a hinged gold cuvette. Silvered dial with painted radial Roman numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds dial, applied central and peripheral gold floral decoration and blued steel poire hands. Nickel movement, Geneva striping decoration, 16 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Spare dial, cuvette and movement signed, case numbered.
