A very fine Swiss, 18K gold, ruby and diamond-set lady’s keyless pendant watch with gold and ruby-set serpent brooch, circa 1890. A polished bezel and band, the back entirely set with rubies and rose-cut diamonds. Hinged gold cuvette. Brooch was designed as a coiled serpent, the headset with a single ruby. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, outer gold dot minute divisions. Gilt Louis XV hands. A matte gilt movement, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance with blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator.
