A fine, thin Swiss, 18 carat yellow gold and enamel keyless pocket watch, circa 1909. With a matching 23 cm. 18 carat yellow gold chain. A solid, polished case, bezel and back decorated with foliage and leave design in black enamel, the back cover with a blank cartouche. Gold-hinged cuvette engraved: Edward H. Guyer, Rock Island, Illinois. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, outer minute track with five-minute red Arabic markers, sunk subsidiary seconds dial and gold Louis XIV hands. Rhodium-plated movement, patented bridge calibre, 20 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed.
