Gregson, Jean, Paris (1776-1790). Watchmaker from England, Jean Gregson, was active in Paris in the second half of the 18th century. He does not demand mastery but obtains, in 1776, the title of Marchand Horloger Privilégié du Roi suivant la Cour et Conseils de Sa Majesté, whether Watchmaker of the King, although foreign and protestant. Jean Gregson seems to have left France at the time of the Revolution. He is no longer mentioned in Paris after 1790. He is previously established rue Dauphine and signs his watches: Horloger du Roy or Horloger de la Cour de France.

Signed: Gregson Paris
