Gold pocket watch with translucent guilloché enamel back

A small French gold and translucent enamel verge pocket watch, made by Vaucher in Paris in the late 18th century. The mechanical movement features key winding, a verge escapement, a chased and pierced cock, a spiral balance, a spindle and chain, and a setting disc signed Vauchez en la Cité à Paris. The signed white enamel dial has stylised Arabic numerals for hours and minutes, a minute track, and a square winding mechanism. The round gold case is hinged, with a grey translucent guilloché enamel back and a rim with stylised decoration.
