A German 18 carat gold open faced chronograph pocket watch, circa 1890. Sold 19.04.1890 for 535 Mark to the Brazilian retailer Frederico Krüssmann. 3/4 Plate gilt finished fully jewelled lever movement with screwed gold chatons, blued screws, finely hand engraved balance bridge, antimagnetic bimetallic compensation balance after Paillard with gold screws, gold lever and escape wheel, micrometer regulator, diamond endstone, bevelled, matted and polished chronograph steel parts. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, gold spade hands, red outer minute divisions 1/300, subsidiary seconds and central chronograph hand. Polished Jurgensen case, hinged back. Comes with a box and certificate from the watch museum in Glashütte. Dial signed by the retailer. Case and movement signed by the watchmaker.
