A Swiss 18K yellow gold, silver and painted-on enamel hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1890. A minute repeater with a chronograph. The front cover is decorated with painted enamel on the silver scene of a young couple in a wooded clearing, translucent royal blue ground and gold paillon border, and the back is similarly decorated with a young lady holding a fan. Glazed gold-rimmed cover over the movement. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and gold Louis XV hands. A matte gilt movement, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, and an index regulator.
