An exquisite cylinder pocket watch with center seconds made by Alexander Hare in London, England, circa 1782. This pair cased watch crafted from 18 carat gold has London Hallmarks for 1782 and the maker’s mark IL. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, center seconds and fine gold hands. The high quality movement has a very fine English cylinder escapement and a diamond end stone. Case, cuvette and movement have matching numbers, the cuvette and movement are signed.
