An English 18K gold precision pocket watch of museum quality with an open face by W. Mitchell, Richmond, Yorkshire, circa the early 19th century.
Full plate movement, keywind, frosted and gilt, two hammers / two gongs, chain/fusee, three-arm monometallic balance with three screws and chatoned diamond endstone on balance. Gold dial, engine-turned centre, with applied Roman radial hours, extra seconds, and blued steel hands. Polished 18K gold plain case.
