An English 18 carat gold open-faced cylinder pocket watch, Hallmarked London 1822. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with dust cover, plain cock with garnet endstone, polished steel Bosley regulator, plain three armed polished steel flat balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, polished steel cylinder, large steel escape wheel, pivots with endstones. Attractive gold dial with applied gold Roman numerals on a matted ground, engine-turned centre and decorative applied three-colour gold border, gilt hands. Case with chased and engraved middle and pendant, button in the pendant to open the back, small monogram to the centre. Maker’s mark CM.
