A fine, rare and small English gilt-brass verge pocket watch with concealed erotic scene, four enamel scenes in total circa 1780. Gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt-brass English pierced and engraved balance cock. Movement signed.
Green enamelled and engraved bezel, back cover decorated with a painted-on enamel panel depicting two lovers in a garden, the inside with two polychrome enamel erotic scenes.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic numerals, steel poker and beetle hands.
