Gilt pair cased gentleman’s pocket watch by William Travers
–
A representative pair cased English gentleman’s clock watch with centre seconds and studded Rhinestones circa the early 19th century.
This key wind watch features an exquisite design with a protective cap, chain/fusee, moulded pillars, cylinder escapement, and a three-arm steel balance. The watch showcases a beautifully engraved pierced balance cock and a silver regulator scale. The enamel dial displays Roman radial hours, an outer minutes/seconds track with Arabic five minutes/seconds numerals, and Cathedrale hour and arrow minute hand. The watch includes two stunning cases: an outer case made of gilt bronze, engraved, pierced, studded with rhinestones and polychrome enamel painted scene; an inner case made of gilded bronze with a richly florally engraved cartouche. This timepiece is a true work of art that will make a statement in any collection. Signed on movement: Willm Travers London.
