Rare, French gold/enamel verge watch with finest miniature painting and matched gold/enamel Chatelaine, signed by Ferdinand Berthoud, circa 1770.
An 18 carat gold, high quality five part outer hinge, miniature painting on the back in excellent condition, signed verge movement.
Very well preserved enamel dial, original hour hand made of gold, replaced minute hand, matched golden chatelaine, (steel key missing), elaborately enameled and decorated with miniature pearls, very nice condition of preservation, rare collector object.
