A fine and rare Swiss, 9 carat gold grande sonnerie hour striking and minute repeating keyless clock watch, circa 1890. A polished case and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands. Frosted gilt movement, wolf’s tooth winding, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. The case, movement and cuvette are numbered.
