This very fine watch has a number of features that are characteristic of Pennington’s work, the ‘double L’ balance being especially notable. The cock mounted regulator is an early example of its type in an English watch; the cock table has a cut out for the curb pins.

Amongst the watch papers inside the case back is a Pennington paper which reads: “Pennington Chronometer Maker, corner of Orchard Row, Camberwell, London, Clocks and Watches of All Kinds.”

Signed: Pennington London
