A large Swiss, 18K yellow gold minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with a chronograph, circa 1890. An engine-turned case, in the front with an engraved floral motif with a monogram cartouche and a hinged gold cuvette. Foliate engraved silver dial with painted radial Roman numerals, subsidiary sunk seconds dial, outer applied gold foliate border, the centre with flowers and fruits and blued steel spade hands. Rhodium-plated movement with wave decoration, 32 jewels, counterpoised lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs. Case numbered.
