A very fine English 18 Carat gold and enamel triple cased quarter repeating cylinder pocket watch made for the Ottoman market, circa 1820. Gilt frosted full plate movement, key-winding, two hammers, two barrels, cylinder escapement, three-arm steel balance, fine florally engraved balance bridge, diamond endstone on balance. White enamel dial with radial Ottoman numeral and blued steel hands. Glazed, pierced and florally engraved à goutte outer case, polychrome enamelled, five piece lateral hinge, the middle case also à goutte, pierced, florally engraved, polychrome enamelled, the back with a translucent polychrome enamelled medallion depicting a maritime landscape, five piece lateral hinge, florally hand engraved and pierced inner case, rear bell, protective cap, the pendant set with a large diamond.
