A fine, heavy English 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating pocket watch with full calendar, circa 1887.
Plain case, the front cover with the polychrome enamelled noble family crest of Sir Robert Peel and banner with Industria, casemaker’s punch mark EN, slide for repeating mechanism. White enamel dial with Roman hours, sunken auxiliary seconds, sunken day, date and month indication, blued spade hands. Gilt frosted 3/4 plate movement, blued screws, two hammers, two gongs, screwed gold chatons, English lever escapement, gold screwed compensation balance, blued balance spring, fine florally engraved balance cock, index spring fine adjusting device. Dial and movement signed.
