A fine English, 18K gold pocket watch with a multi-coloured decorated dial, circa 1824-1825.
Signed gilt full-plate movement, fusee with chain, blued steel flat balance spring with gilt brass balance cock with engraved decoration, diamond endstone, index regulator. Gold dial with applied polished gold radial Roman numerals, outer dot minute indexes with applied varicoloured foliate border, multi-coloured flowers in the centre, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and gold serpentine hands. Engine-turned 18K gold outer case and a plain inner case. The bezels and band are engraved with floral motifs.
