Signed:  David Lestourgéon  London
–
Watchmaker David Lestourgéon (1660-1731) was born in Rouen and came to London in 1681 as a Hugenot refugee. He was a member of the Clockmakers’ Company from 1698 to 1731. The style elements of the movement  such as the large peripheral balance bridge show clearly that the maker of the watch was French.
