A fine English silver pair cased quarter repeating verge pocket watch, circa 1800. A pierced and engraved outer case covered with tortoiseshell, decorated with studs. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic five minutes, gold poker & beetle hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, a verge escapement, plain brass three arm balance, flat balance spring and gilt brass English balance cock with a ruby endstone. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. A gilt brass dust cap. Signed on the dial, movement and dust cap. Comes with a matching key.
