An English verge in 20 Carat gold repousse pair cases, circa 1780. Full plate fire gilt movement with dust cover. Beautiful decorative pillars. Pierced and engraved cock with garnet endstone, pierced and engraved foot, pierced and engraved plate for silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm gilt balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial with black Roman and Arabic numerals, steel beetle and poker hands. Plain 20 Carat inner case with a circular shutter to the winding aperture, gold pendant and bow. Fine 20 Carat gold repousse outer the chased and engraved scene in relief depicting two soldiers and two classically dressed persons.
