Gold half hunting cased pocket watch 
–
A very fine and rare Swiss 18K yellow gold pocket chronometer with Earnshaw type spring detent escapement, circa 1880. Polished and engine-turned bassine. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands.

Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, half-plate, jewelled to the centre, Earnshaw type spring footed detent escapement with jewelled locking stone, gold escape wheel with gold-mounted endstone, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
