Gold and with jewels set pocket watch by the Firm of Esquivillon Frères
–
An early Swiss verge with three colour gold dial in a decorative jewel set gold case, circa 1800-1820.
This timepiece boasts a full plate gilt fusee movement, featuring a finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret and a plain three-arm gilt balance with a blue steel spiral hairspring. A blue steel indicator highlights the silver regulator dial, while the round pillars add to its overall charm. The engine-turned gold dial is decorated with applied three-colour gold at the edge, featuring Roman numerals and blue steel hands. The 18-carat open-face case is adorned with a foliate pattern in three-colour gold, set with turquoise and garnet jewels, making it a true work of art.
