An extravagant Swiss gilded silver, enamel and jewel-set open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1790.
White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, polychrome enamel scene in the centre, original hour hand, the minute hand missing. The case back with a glazed enamel painting of a woman, both bezels set with large jewels surrounded by a decorative blue enamelled rim, all jewels original, hinged. Verge movement. Dial and movement signed, case and movement with matching numbers.
