An extremely rare, large enamel form clock Cello with hidden fragrance container, circa 1820.
Completely enamelled case, red guilloche enamel, presumably silver gilded, inside with maker’s mark, bottom can be opened, underneath the hidden clock with spindle mechanism and a fragrance container. Enamel dial with Arabic radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic fifteen minutes numerals, and blued steel hands. Hallmarked in 3 places with the master’s mark JM and spindle mechanism signed.
