An extremely rare gold and enamelled key wind beetle-form watch probably made in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1870. The case is made of 18 carat gold and depicts a very detailed beetle with folded wings of brown guilloché enamel and ruby-adorned eyes. The original white enamel dial has Roman numerals for the hours, outer minute divisions and steel hands. The movement features a cylinder escapement.
