A fine gold French observatory deck watch with anchor chronometer, circa 1900.
Polished 18K gold case, engraved monogram, signed and numbered, inscribed L. Leroy & Cie Horlogers de la Marine. Signed enamel dial with Arabic radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and gold pear hands. Very fine anchor chronometer movement with particularly large chronometer balance and wolf teeth signed L.Leroy on the bridge.
