A very fine Swiss 18K yellow gold keyless pocket watch, circa 1934. Specially made for the Fribourg Tir Federal crossbow archery contest in 1934. A polished and frosted case, the back cover cast with the design by W. Jordan Del Hugenin SC. of a kneeling archer surrounded by the inscription Tir Federal Fribourg 1934. Hinged gold cuvette engraved Reconnaissance à M.A. Corboud Membre du Comité d’Organisation. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, outer minute track and blue-painted Arabic 24-hour numerals, subsidiary seconds and black Breguet hands. A frosted gilt movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
