Gold decorative watch of exceptional quality

A very fine pocket watch, “Lotus blossom”, made for the Chinese market by Julien Le Roy in Paris, France, circa 1780. The open faced case of this watch, which was crafted from 18 carat gold, is of exceptional quality, has a rim with diagonal red engine turned enamel arches alternated with small Oriental pearls and the back, also with translucent red enamel, shows a central white flower, an opening button is in the pendant. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track and gilt hands. The movement has a verge escapement.
The movement is signed.
