Gold decorative cylinder watch
–
An extremely rare elaborate enamelled Lépine pocket watch made by Guillaume Henry Guye in Verrieres, France, circa 1930. The very unusual thin open faced and numbered case is crafted from 18 carat gold, has fine detailed Renaissance motifs on both sides in a very elaborate cloisonné technique. The small engine turned dial has black Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. The movement has a very thin Lépine calibre with a cylinder escapement. The watch comes with a gold watch chain with a screwed snap hook and two enamelled slides as well as the high quality, probably, original key with stone setting.
Cuvette signed and engraved.
