A fine French solid 18 Carat gold quarter repeating cylinder pocket watch with sunray dial, circa 1830.
Cylinder movement, gilt three arm balance, blued steel indicator repeating hours and quarters by pushing the gold pendant, repeating on two steel gongs. A slider in the band serves to prevent the repeater from being activated accidentally.
Plain polished back and engine turned middle.
Silver sunray dial with black Roman numerals an outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands. Dome signed: Echappement a cylinder, quartre trous en pierre.
