An extremely rare numbered observatory deck chronometer Montre de Torpilleur (torpedo boat watch) in original box, made by Louis Leroy in Paris, France, circa 1900. The numbered open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 Carat gold and is thin but extremely solid, has a coined band and is engine turned on the back. The gold engine turned dial has Roman hour numerals and blued Breguet steel hands. The movement has an anker chronometer escapement. Dial, movement and box are signed.
