Gold open faced gentlemen’s pocket watch

A French 18 carat yellow gold keyless open faced pocket watch, made by L. Leroy & Cie in Paris, circa 1900. The movement operates mechanically with crown winding, a lever escapement, a bimetallic balance spring, and adjustments for advance and delay. It features a signed white enamel dial with Breguet style Arabic numerals, a minute track, a small second hand, and gold spade hands. The gold case is round with a hinge, engraved with initials on the back, and includes a signed gold bowl with the inscription HORLOGERS DE LA MARINE and numbered case interior. It comes with a chain and a fitted presentation box from L. Leroy & Cie, monogrammed P.M.
