Pocket watch with decentralised dial

A very thin lépine pocket watch made by the royal watchmaker Bernard, in France, circa 1830. The case of this watch, which was crafted from 18 carat gold, is engine turned on the back lid and its cuvette is numbered and inscribed “Echappement horizontal, Quatre trous Rubis”. The very beautiful decentralised silver dial features Roman hour numerals and gold Breguet hands. The movement is key wound and is fitted with a cylinder escapement.
The cuvette is signed.
