A very rare pocket watch with repeater in original sales box with gold key, made by Jeannot Droz in Besançon, France, circa 1850. The numbered case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and is engine turned with a monogram on the back lid and the white enamel dial features Roman hour numerals and gold hands. The numbered movement is fitted with a high quality cylinder escapement.
The cuvette is signed.
